Keynote Address: Dr. Jana Joshu – Founder of the Middle Tennessee Center for Alternative Medicine
Dr. Jana's expertise lies in lifestyle transformation, nutrition and women's health, incorporating significant emotional therapy in her application. She is her own "walking testimonial" and practices what she preaches. She will share a beautifully painful, testimony, live and uncut, about her past, her journey, her salvation and how God has led her to where she is right now. Her powerful speech will also shed light on what she’s learned in her practice, including insight on how to balance the body chemically, emotionally, and structurally to reclaim your life.
Speaker: Women of Magdalene/Thistle Farms
Magdalene is a ten year old organization founded by Becca Stevens and based on a simple premise: love changes lives. They have five residential communities of women who all have criminal histories of drug abuse and prostitution. Each woman, without ever having to pay a cent, shares in this community of recovery for two years, receiving housing, food, medical aid, therapy, education and job training. Magdalene is driven by the belief that love and grace are the most powerful forces for change in the world. They speak the truth about recovery and life on the streets, hoping to dispel myths about prostitution and addiction. The Magdalene women come to share their own inspirational stories. They speak to the larger issues around sexual abuse and how there is healing beyond the scars.
Speaker: Suzanne Baker, Founder, The Spiritual Spa
Her life in corporate America was interrupted more than 10 years ago by a calling to work with women to help them rebuild their lives. At the time, the idea of working with women seemed foreign to Suzanne, but the concept of rebuilding life was not. She was in the midst of her own Spirit-led reconstruction following a painful time in her life. The calling evolved into a vision for a new kind of spa experience. The Spiritual Spa was birthed in 2000. Suzanne says, “I love the Spa experience because so many lives have been changed over the years (including my own) as a result of attending as a guest or working on a team. I love encouraging and seeing people become all they were created to be. The very best part is, and has been, sharing the experience with the community of incredible people that brings the Spa to life.”

• "Freedom Through Movement" presented by Suzanne Bowen and Leah Sarago - Ruah Mind Body Movement is
designed to strengthen the mind, body, and spirit. The fusion of postures with movements sculpts the muscles, burns fat, opens the joints, releases muscle tension, and lengthens the physique. The series of exercises offers the three components of fitness: cardio, strength, and flexibility training, to create balance in the body. Ruah believes the balance of strengthening the mind, body, and spirit are key elements to achieving freedom through movement, which will release physical, emotional, and mental stress from the body. Releasing this stress will help release body fat, decrease health risks, improve self-esteem, slow aging, improve mental outlook, and more.
• "You, Inc. Identifying and Marketing Your Individual Brand" presented by Audra Davis of Davis & Associates LLC. - Like it or not, how you define yourself inevitably dictates how you feel and how you are treated by others. Whether you work outside the home, at home, or inside the home (or a combination thereof), it is crucial that you define and market the real You, Inc. to get what you need from all facets of life. This is an interactive and upbeat working session; come prepared to learn, develop and share the true potential of You, Inc.
